Poynter offers several email services, all of which are supported though our helpdesk.
Hosted Email
We offer a fully hosted email solution using Microsoft Online Services. Rather than having a email server on site, you connect directly to the hosted service using your existing broadband connection. We will setup, migrate and manage everything; without the need for any additional hardware or licences.
This is ideal if you are looking to replace and aging email server, or complement an onsite exchange server for remote worker access.We will setup your company’s domain, add all of your existing users and change their Outlook settings. If required we can also supply and install additional Microsoft Office licences or upgrades. The service is hosted by Microsoft in world-class data centres which provide email backup a 99.9% SLA.
Email Gateway
This service provides redudancy on your incoming emails. All emails are sent to our server which removes SPAM and emails with viruses. The emails are then forwarded to your existing email server with any potential SPAM emails marked as such. This reduces the load on your server by keeping out unwanted email. It also offers redudancy – if your server or broadband connection goes down, it simply queues up the emails until it’s back up.
